Legislative Focus

The California Association of Housing Authorities (CAHA) is a statewide organization committed to empowering public housing authorities to expand our reach and deepen our impact by championing affordable housing and tackling homelessness and housing instability through strategic collaboration and impactful leadership. CAHA represents nearly 100 public housing authorities (PHAs) across the state. We've been grappling with an affordable housing crisis for years and housing instability is increasing as more families struggle to keep up with payments.

Our Legislative Focus publication educates and informs elected representatives on key legislative actions to assist housing authorities on pursing housing stability, economic mobility, and thriving communities for all. As state and federal legislators shape future legislation, CAHA respectfully urges careful consideration of the priorities presented in the following publication.
